Actively involved in student media opportunities: Print Editor for Trident Media, producing UniVerse (fortnightly newspaper) and redesigning BlueMoon (monthly magazine) at the University of Hertfordshire; and staff writer for DIG Magazine and Union Weekly, attending weekly newsroom shifts for the Daily 49er at California State University, Long Beach.
Print experience also includes volunteering as Editor for Twiglet, a National Childcare Trust magazine in Welwyn Garden City. Responsible for design, content and editorial aimed at parents, and for liaising with Head of Advertising, printers and contributors.
An avid blogger, having founded personal, study abroad and collaborative music blogs with guest posts also featured by Folkstock Music Festival, Young Minds, WhatUni and Canary in a Coal Mine blogs.
Passionate about music journalism, conducting band interviews and writing live show reviews, established through contributions to music websites including PunkWorldViews.com, MusicReloadUK and Independent Voice Ezine, and serving as Music Editor for KettleMag.co.uk.
Marketing experience also gained through employment as a Marketing Assistant for the University of Hertfordshire, and in a volunteer position with Relate Central & Northern Hertfordshire. Responsibilities included developing marketing strategies, creating an online presence, connecting with local press, and copy writing.
